About this Site

If you want to read about how I came up with this site, you can read it in my other site: http://filipinoakbfan.blogspot.com/2010/03/im-launching-akb-news-only-site.html

The goal of this site is to give those who don't have time to read everything on the net a central location where they can read only news about AKB48. The news are archived for those who can't check everyday. Also, since each post will contain a minimal headline / title / intro, they can skip topics they are not particularly interested in, and if they are interested to read more details about a certain topic, they can click on the link on the news post, which are external sources, such as blog posts and forum threads.

This will cover AKB-related news, and everything that is or was involved in the AKB family. So SKE48, SDN48, subunits, even graduates and Kenkyuuseis are included. Will this be complete? I doubt it. I doubt I'll find all the news about them, but since I read up on them, I'll post the ones that I do find. That's where you may come in. If you wanna help me out in this site, please do. Email me at newsakb@gmail.com , and I'll add you as a writer who can post to this site. You might be thinking, "But I can't write!" Good. The idea for this is to keep posts minimal. As long as you can copy and paste titles and links, that's enough. You might be thinking, "I don't understand plagiarism and I don't want to commit it." I'll setup a FAQ about these once somebody volunteers, but I can edit posts when necessary, so don't worry. From what I've seen, AKB bloggers have a lot of respect for each other and have practiced good habits, so this site hopes to continue that. You wanna post only news about your favorites? That's fine too.

This site is an experiment. If I see that this site is no longer serving its purpose, I will simply discontinue it. Or I can just make it my own little repository of news, where anyone who wants to check it out, can. I have at least one friend I can think of who can use a site like this.

Why start this site now? I launch this site March 11, 2010 as I consider March 12 the start of a new era in AKB, the shounichi / opening day of the first stage of the first shuffled team to debut. Unless they move it again. Either way, it will be news.
